Tofu bacon sandwich
In this recipe I will teach you 2 basics you can use for other recipes: a smoked tofu bacon and an extra creamy cheese also tofu. 2 infalables that combine are amazing.
Ingredients
For tofu bacon:
1 block of extra firm tofu
6 cds soy sauce
3 cds of agave syrup or sugar
½ cdite of liquid humus or smoked pepper
1 cda garlic powder
For cream cheese:
1 soft tofu block (silken type) with firm also works but texture is different
5 cds of nutritional yeast (may be the cheese taste)
1 cda of lemon or vinegar juice
1 cdita of salt
3 cds olive oil
To exalt the sandwich:
Bread slices or the one you like the most Pale slices Tomato slices
Optional: fresh lettuce leaves
Preparation
- You're gonna start by cutting the firm tofu into slightly thin sheets to give it the form of "bacon." Then in a bowl you go to combine soya sauce, liquid smoke or smoked pepper, garlic powder and sugar and you will bathe the tofu sheets in this preparation the idea is that they are completely covered and absorbed all flavors. While that happens to put it away.
- While you are going to prepare the cream cheese by procating all the ingredients listed for the cream cheese until a smooth and untidy cream is formed. You can adjust the consistency by adding a chorrit of water or vegetable milk if I'm very firm. Take it to the fridge so it can be confirmed while you're glowing your bacon.
- The bacon can gold it back and forth in a pan over medium heat with a little oil or bake it in a 180-degree oven on an oiled plate. The oven is more crispy, but for a more express version I recommend doing it to the pan.
- Then all you have to do is toss your sandwich by tearing the loaves with the cream cheese and placing the pallet, tomato and bacon above.
